Hi, I'm Christian: Swiss astrophysicist, type designer, creator of languages (conlangs) and writing systems, husband, and dad, living near Zürich. This site is primarily dedicated to my creative pursuits. If you’d like to hire me for a commission, here’s my portfolio.

The Type Design page showcases the font families I’ve designed, including the free Cormorant and Ysabeau typefaces available on Google Fonts.
The Conlangs page provides an overview of the languages and writing systems I’ve created, including the Fjerdan language (co-created with David J. Peterson) and the Shu writing system for Netflix’ Shadow & Bone.
The Varia page collects other creative products of mine, including my proposed method of writing the German language in Tolkien’s elvish letters (Deutscher Tengwar Modus), my curiously strong opinions on the proper design of the novel German letter ẞ (capital eszett), and my dabblings in graphical design.
